Recon and Information Gathering

Gathering information and performing Recon is one of the most important steps you will take when performing a penetration test.

The data and information that you gather at this stage will inform the rest of your testing, so it's worth doing a good initial job so that you don't have to go back and perform additional discovery against the target.
